Raised with Respect, Nurtured by Nature

At Exbury Farm, we believe great wool starts long before it’s spun or stitched. It begins with how our animals are cared for, how our land is respected, and how thoughtfully each step is taken—from pasture to product. This is our process, and the heart behind everything we create.

“Our commitment to animal welfare and sustainable farming shapes every fleece, every product, every day”.

Raised with Love

Our alpacas and sheep are more than part of our farm—they’re family.

They are raised in a calm, nurturing environment where their wellbeing always comes first. We provide spacious pastures, clean shelter, and carefully managed nutrition to support their health year-round. Gentle handling and low-stress shearing practices ensure they remain comfortable and at ease.

Healthy, content animals produce stronger, softer fleece—and we believe kindness is the foundation of quality.

Spool the Wool

Once shearing season arrives, each fleece is handled with care and intention.

We sort and prepare our wool in small batches, preserving its natural texture, warmth, and character. Some fleeces are made available raw for spinners and fiber artists who love working directly with farm-grown wool, while others are locally spun to maintain traceability and quality.

By keeping the process close to home, we ensure every skein reflects the uniqueness of the animal it came from—no blends, no shortcuts.
